Campout at Grandpa's

Spencer working on his cubscouts, learning to start a camp fire.

Grandpa was so patient, even when we used about $5 of matches.
Next on list, roast hotdogs

Fun, fun, and after all this, we got to sleep in a tent.

The younger boy cousins even came and joined us for the smores and then tent.

Back to School Dates with Mom

Believe it or not, He ate most of this food. This tradition was started in Spencer's family.

Now Amy has carried it on. Individual dates with kids before school starts. Go Brandt, Chug chug chug.

Ist Day of School

We now officially have three in school. Sorry Brandt, a couple more years.

Spencer's first day in the 4th Grade!
Zachary's first day in the 2nd Grade!

Rex is thrilled to join the ranks in Kindergarten!

The best part of it all, they get to ride the bus!

They really enjoy the bus.
Because Rex is the only kindergartener in our neighborhood attending morning, he gets dropped right at our front door step...so very nice.

Spencer's Half Marathon

Although I didn't do as well this time, my family was there to support me!

The boys ran the last .01 miles of the hard 13.1 miles.

Shumway Family Reunion

It was fun for the kids to ride with cousins!

Brandt hung out with Mom on the train.

Brandt Loved the Giraffe!
The boys got to try out their sling shots at the Farmington Pond.

Dad even baited the hooks and let them try fishing. We like to say the fish just weren't biting, the likelihood is though there weren't any fish.

Rex was the most patient, but never had any luck!

After a while they turned to feeding ducks instead of feeding fish.

They also had a little bit of hiking on the rocks.

Trip to Grandma & Grandpa Workman's

The boys love going to G&G Workman's. Grandpa always has projects for them to do. There favorite is using all the power tools and toys that Grandpa has. He is so patient but they do wear him out quick. They also love the tootsie rolls that Grandma always has. They are good at raiding her of what she has left. :)

Great Friends!

Our friends from Germany the Smith's came to visit us! It was so fun to see them and catch up. It has been three years since we have seen them. They moved from Germany just before Brandt was born. The kids loved playing together and I am so glad they remembered each other.
