Layton House Remodel

This is what we did all of November!  Paint and flooring.

We put Pergo in the living roon down the hall and down both flights of stairs.

We hope this time around that the renters are nicer to the house. :)

Pears! Pears! and More Pears!

We bottled lots and lots of pears this fall!  We will enjoy them throughout the winter and year round!

Halloween FHE

Carving Pumpkins, our first stop.

The FORT!

The construction begins! 

It was fun to see the walls go up.

How to frame a window and door?  Just use the internet.

The boys even got to learn how to shingle.  It was Dad's first time also.

Just about there, just a few more side walls.

We had an "Open Fort" party when it was done!

Then the boys all signed the rules of the clubhouse! Rule #1 - NO GIRLS!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

Brandt's preschool class went on a field trip to a Pumpkin Patch here in Farmington. 

 

 

 

Brandt loved the maze.  It was perfect size for kids.

The farm had a ton on interesting squash.  Brandt chose a white pumpkin.

Brandt is so tough!  Look at those muscles!

 

Spencer turned 11!

Spencer had a fun birthday party.  They had a lego building competition.  We grabbed a few handful of legos and put them into paper bags.  Each boy sat in different corners of the room and built certain objects with what legos he had.  They built robots, ships, towers, bridges, etc.  After each turn we judged their creations and then switched bags for the next competition.  It went better than expected.  The boys loved it!

FHE in October

For FHE we ventured up to Farmington Pond.

The boys brought their sling shots and loved seeing who's rock could go the furtherest.
